Position

RGS is looking for a mechanical process engineer to support their operational team. This person takes ownership of projects over process development and related (mechanical) improvements of the production facilities. In addition, he participates in projects related to customer applications, including the related product supply. Part of his time will be directed to support production of material as requested in several projects. 

 

Key responsibilities

• Engineering of equipment, tooling and process, with the aim to increase capacity, resolve bottlenecks and to improve processes and equipment
• Mechanical design, thermal design, detailed engineering, procurement of parts and components, installation, and commissioning
• Ownership of the mechanical engineering of RGS products and production facilities for various customer applications.
• Sustainment of operational facilities and related process requirements for equipment, tooling, and feedstock
• Act as the body of knowledge in the field of relevant process technology related to high temperature processing of materials and furnace processes

 

Requirements

• Master’s or BA degree in relevant area (Like mechanical, production or process engineering)
• Several years’ experience working as equipment engineer (experience with high temperature / vacuum systems is see as a pré)
• Experience in a high tech production and/or  development environment
• Result oriented, enthusiastic, team player and able to work independently
• Quality oriented, experience in risk analyses and CE certification are considered a pre
• Demonstrated skills to resolve complex problems and execute this in a multi-discipline work field
• Experience with relevant design software (such as Solid Works, FEM calculations and 3D modeling)
• Fluent in English
• Willing to travel or relocate to a location close to Alkmaar
