RGS is looking for an operations and project manager to support their development projects and operations for manufacturing its  Power Generation products.

Position

RGS is looking for an experienced operations and project manager to lead the activities in the pilot facility at Broek op Langedijk. The operations and project manager leads a multidisciplinary team of engineers technician. In this role the operations and project manager r takes ownership of engineering projects for the improvement or establishment of equipment, and runs the manufacturing operations for customer production or product / process development purposes.   The role also includes supporting management with customer development activities and participates in projects related to customer applications.  The operations and project manager  reports to the management team. consisting of the CEO and COO

Key responsibilities

• Leading the combined Engineering and Technicians team in their day to day activities
• sustainment activities with respect to engineering and production - according to the quality system, assessment and prevention of technical failures and documentation
• Engineering and Production output, actual results, planning, priority setting
• Communications and alignment of performance and planning within the company, with respect to customer projects and company goals
• Overview, guidance, coaching, education, inspiration of the individual team members and of the team as a whole
• Proactively engaging in problem solving to improve the installation and products
• Guide or lead projects for modifications of existing or newly developed production facilities
• Participate in the definition of new projects, either for customer proposals, or grant proposals

 

Requirements

• Academic education, preferably in physics, mechanics or manufacturing technology
• >5 years of work experience in a relevant environment, such as process development / manufacturing environment.
• Experience in high temperature materials processing or furnace operations is preferred
• People Management skills and experience, leading professionals
• Technical and project managerial leadership (managing quality, time, budget and risks)
• Excellent skills to resolve complex problems and to prepare and execute this in a multi-discipline work field
• Result oriented, enthusiastic, team player and able to work independently
• Experience with project management
• Experience with coaching
• Experience with procurement contracting
• Fluent in English
• Must be able to convey complex technical information to engineering teams and other stake holders
