RGS recently acquired a project for making materials for the generation of electrical power for space vehicles, in the framework of USA deep space missions (e.g. Mars). For the finetuning and execution of the production we are looking for : a chemical engineer


RGS Development is a technology company, promoting advanced silicon materials and devices for energy conversion purposes. Under the brand name Thermagy it operates the design and manufacturing of silicon germanium based thermoelectric materials and thermoelectrics solutions for remote electricity generation and energy recovery in various industries. Under the brand name Solwafer it operates the development and manufacturing of advanced silicon wafers for the solar industry. Furthermore it serves as technology provider for E-magy (, which introduces nano porous silicon for the next generation Li-ion batteries. The process operator is a member of a multidiciplinary project team. He takes ownership for production execution and analysis of the production of the respective materials, also including measurement, necessary quality assurance and trouble shooting. He will amongst others be working in RGS’s Space programs and reports to the COO.

  • Quality assurance


  • Bsc degree in process operations and/or industrial engineering
  • Several years of working experience in an similar (pilot) process development / manufacturing environment
  • Experience with analysis methods
  • Experience with etching, cutting, polishing operations
  • Result oriented, enthusiastic, team player and able to work independently
  • Fluent in English
